Autumn is probably one of my favorite seasons and I try to enjoy it to the fullest. I again pick up my cozy hobbies and indulge in seasonal foods.
I have yet again gathered my favorite products that accompanied me during this season, so let’s dive in.
NYX Lip I.V. Hydrating Lip Gloss Stain
If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen this lipgloss already in my story. I was hesitant to try the NYX Lip I.V. Hydrating Lip Gloss Stain because I already own so many lip products. A few weeks ago I saw it at a drugstore and swatched some colors so I impulsively bought it and I am happy I did as I use it almost daily.
I got the color “Hydra Honey” and for me it’s a perfect light brown shade for autumn. It comes to no surprise, that the formula is made in Korea: my lips are hydrated, not sticky and the stain lasts all day. As you reapply the gloss during the day, the stain gets even more intense.
Neonail Nail Polish
I have been doing my manicure with Neonail nail polishes for many years now. I enjoy their colors and I have nailed my technique. Surely it’s not as good as in a salon but it saves me some money.
For months I have been wearing a neutral pink tone but recently I wanted to switch it up for autumn. The color “Evergreen Mood” has been my go-to and the deep olive tone is ideal for this season.
New Notes Latte Pistachio
The minute I smelled Latte Pistachio I instantly fell in love with the scent and kept catching hints of it all day. The warm notes, the intense pistachio and the longevity are unmatched. Not many perfumes stay on my skin for a long time but this one stays lingering on my clothes until the next wash.
I was lucky enough to receive the scent as a birthday gift and now that the weather is getting colder I feel like it is the perfect time to wear it.
Collectif Mon Amour Liz Sweater
Autumn calls for thick and cozy sweaters and I always reach for the ones from Collectif Mon Amour. Their clothing is a bit more expensive but I’ve had the “Liz” sweaters in grey and marine for several years and they look as if I bought them yesterday. I got really tired of spending my money on polyester clothing items that looked bad after a couple of washes and I am so happy that I got these staple pieces in my wardrobe.
Lang Yarns Magnolia Merino Extrafine
As already mentioned in the beginning, I love to whip out my cozy projects during autumn. I taught myself last year how to knit with a few tutorials. I started over a few times with different wools and needle sizes to discover the style that I best liked.
The Lang Yarns Magnolia wool is very soft and the different colors make it easy to see how far you’ve come. Now I am almost done with my scarf and I am excited to pick out my next project.
Unove Deep Damage Repair Shampoo and Unove No Wash Water Ampoule Treatment
In my Summer Favorites blogpost I wrote about my damaged hair and I really enjoyed the Neqi Build Boost Treatment. When I emptied it, I started looking for new products to try out and came across the Unove shampoo and treatment. I have been using various products and frequently also used the K18 hair mask. I can’t say that only those two products saved my hair but I for sure saw a big difference.
I was really regretting having bleached my hair but especially after I used the No Wash Ampoule Treatment my hair felt soft and hydrated just like before the bleaching.
Final Thoughts
The darker and shorter days remind me to slow down and to reflect upon the past year.
For a couple of years autumn and winter were quite stressful due to my job in online beauty retail. Autumn was tied to Black Friday sales and ads, tightly followed by advent calendars and Christmas gift guides.
The cosy season used to fly past me and as soon as the holidays came around, I found myself not being in the Christmas spirit. I am beyond grateful for not having to coordinate that sale madness anymore and this season always reminds me of that.
